Stream Clean Day Overland Park KS

Hi Serve KC,

Stream Clean Day is an event to pick up trash and debris in our parks throughout the city of Overland Park KS.  This event helps restore the natural beauty by removing trash and debris up to the edge of the stream. Litter and trash pollute the water causing harm to wildlife and the environment.  Last year we had more than 900 volunteers help out.

Our group will be working at a causal pace on the south half of Corporate Woods along Indian Creek. We encourage all volunteers to wear long sleeve shirts, long pants, and closed toe  shoes (no Crocs or sandals). We provide bags and gloves for volunteers and will work in small groups.  Children age appropriate for outdoor clean-up and working around streams are welcome under your supervision.

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet others in our community, get outdoors and give back at the same time in honor of Earth Day – April 22, 2017.
