Serve KC Volunteers are serving the AWESOME volunteers that make the Johnson County Christmas Bureau event successful! Strouds is catering the event, SKC Volunteers will set-up, serve and clean-up. For this event, all Volunteers need to arrive at 4:30 as there is limited time to set-up before dinner service at 5:15.
Volunteers must be 16 or older to participate.
Attire: Nice jeans or khaki style pants and shirt (no T-shirts) and close-toed shoes comfortable for significant standing and walking.
When you RSVP, please indicate your duty preference. Anyone not indicating a preference, I will slot as needed.

The Johnson County Christmas Bureau provides holiday assistance to low-income residents of Johnson County, Kansas. At the annual Holiday Shop, pre-qualified clients, by appointment, select groceries, personal care and household supplies, children’s clothing, hats, gloves, scarves, coats, toys, gifts, and books pegged to family size, age, and gender. All items are new with the exception of books and coats. At the 2014 Holiday Shop, JCCB served 13,948 individuals representing 3,561 families and 707 nursing home residents.
200 volunteers donate their time year round. 3,000 community volunteers donate their time from mid-November to mid-December to make the Holiday Shop a success.
