Palestine Gardens on Friday this time

***PLEASE NOTE—THIS MONTH IT WILL NOT BE ON THE 4TH, since it is a holiday.  Karen will also be out of town for the holiday weekend, so Jack will be the person from Palestine Gardens in charge, and you can look for me (Denise Decker) as the ServeKC host.  We understand this last minute change will interfere with the ability to participate for some, please update your RSVP, and we hope you can join us another time.

Every few weeks our community, Palestine Gardens, a truck from Harvesters pulls up to the front door. This truck carries all sorts of crucial dietary needs for our residents including fresh fruit and vegetables, breads, dairy, and bakery products, and easy to cook or prepare foods that our seniors will not struggle to prepare. We need volunteers to help us bring the food in, set the food up for distribution, and assist dozens of appreciative seniors as they pick up free and fresh foods.

Children are welcome to volunteer as long as they are with a guardian, and if you have weight restrictions, we still welcome your help and will find a position that works for you. Thank you for volunteering 🙂

The gate will be open on the Prospect side of the building.

PLEASE be firm with your commitment, we split volunteers between 2 buildings.
