Holiday Party – Interfaith Hospitality Network

***MULTIPLE SHIFTS TO COVER, READ ENTIRE POSTING***  Must be over 18 and out of high school to volunteer

This is the sixth year Serve KC has engaged with this great event that really warms your heart and they are looking for us to bring a LOT of volunteers in shifts throughout the day. 

After you RSVP, please post a comment to the site to let me know what shift/area you prefer to volunteer.  We may need ppl to be flexible if we have areas that need to be covered.  Feel free also to volunteer for more than 1 shift, I will be there the entire day. 
***Any children helping MUST BE 18 or order and out of high school***

FOOD AREA

Shift 1 – 8am – 11am Set-up (prep of sandwiches, veggies, etc.) 5 ppl

Shift 2 – 10:30am – 3:00pm Replenish food/drink stations, pick-up plates, clean-up food, wash dishes, etc.

CHILDRENS AREA

10:30 am – 1:30 pm Children’s Activity Room (play games, crafts, etc. while children wait to shop) 5 ppl

10:30 am – 1:30 pm Shoppers / Gift Wrappers (assist children in choosing and wrapping gifts for family members) 5 ppl

12:00 NOON – 3:00 pm – Guest Assistant / Clean-up (assist guests in taking food baskets and children’s gifts to cars and general clean-up following the event)  5ppl **I encourage people helping in the children’s area to stay and assist in clean-up if you can***

When you arrive, there will be a table to check-in.  Please tell them you are with Serve KC, they will have a list of volunteers and assignments to direct you and name tags that have Serve KC on the top of them.  I will float into the children’s area to meet people or you are welcome to come into the food serving area.  All volunteers are welcome to eat during their shift, please ensure your area is covered when you decide to eat.  Holiday attire is recommended (Santa Hats, Reindeer Ears, holiday shirts, etc.)
