Create Learning Materials for Children with Autism

Serve KC volunteers will help KC Autism Training Center make and organize materials used in their educational programs. Volunteers do not work with kids at this event since this is after school hours. Tasks range from laminating & cutting out flash cards to cleaning and organizing classrooms. Supplies will be provided along with further instructions.

Children are welcome to volunteer with you, please comment with ages so we can try to plan activities they can help with. 

USE THE SOUTH DOOR: KcATC is inside Faith Lutheran Church at Roe & 67th. Park in the South Lot off Roe and follow the signs for Astra Day School.  Google maps will send you to the wrong door which will be locked. On the South side of the building there are two entrances, take the double set of doors on the right. Once inside meet in the Social Hall just past the stairs on your left.

Kansas City Autism Training Center is a non-profit specializing in the treatment of autism spectrum disorders and located in Prairie Village. Their mission is to provide professional, research-based intervention, training and education for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. KcATC provides full-time and part-time treatment for children between the ages of two and a half up to twelve years old. The facility is open year-round, providing 1-on-1 Applied Behavioral Analysis services that are customized for each child.

Waitlist: If an event is full volunteers can join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you are automatically added to the attending list in the order you joined the waitlist. Please remove yourself from the waitlist if you make other plans so the next available person can join in the event of a last minute cancellation. 

This Event repeats on the 4th Wednesday of each month and will open to RSVPs two weeks prior to the event.
