Turkey Carving for Salvation Army Thanksgiving Meal

We will assist other Salvation Army volunteers in carving 150 turkeys in preparation for their Thanksgiving meal.  Please bring a large knife, ensure that it is transferred safely having it in a knife guard or wrapped in a kitchen towel. Wear clothes that can get messy and comfortable shoes to be standing in, aprons, hairnets and gloves will be provided.  Shoes must be closed toed, no sandals or flip flops.  

Don’t know how to carve a turkey, that’s OK, the goal is to get the turkey off the bones and chunked-up for dinner.  

Kids – must be 16 or older and comfortable using a knife for carving turkeys.  No younger children will be allowed.
